CAA INTERNATIONAL UK SPONSORSHIP
January 2025 – Nairobi, Kenya:;
Aerotechnics Ltd Kenya is pleased to announce a generous sponsorship from CAA International UK, made possible through the coordination of the International Federation of Airworthiness (IFA). This sponsorship will fund EASA B1 B2 training for the ongoing January 2025 class.
Four students have been funded through this sponsorship, with two of them also being admitted into the CAA International UK mentorship program. Additionally, two more students have received sponsorship from funds mobilized within IFA membership, bringing the total number of sponsored students to six. The beneficiaries of this initiative are:
– Anastasia Tatu
– Samuel Katusabe
– Loice Njeri
– Michael Ochieng
– Millicent Sulwe
– Rita Itaza
This sponsorship aligns with one of the key pillars identified during the Aviation Careers Symposium of September 2024 – training to build competency and capacity to fill the skills gap. We all share a commitment to developing the next generation of aviation professionals and improving global airworthiness standards. This sponsorship aligns with ICAO’s No Country Left Behind programme, aimed at helping developing nations strengthen their regulatory capabilities. Our collective efforts in addressing the global shortage of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, particularly in regions where high training costs present a significant barrier, is a continuous process and we welcome other industry players to come onboard.
Aerotechnics Ltd Kenya extends profound gratitude to the sponsors and urges the students to perform to their utmost ability and meet the sponsorship expectations. Special thanks go to Clair Borrelli, Head of International Operations at CAAi, and Hazel Courtney, President of IFA, for their invaluable contributions in making this happen.
